Materials handling, involving excavation and movement of bulk materials, constitute fundamental steps in any mining operation. Much of the productivity improvements focus is on making this process more efficient.
OreTracker assists the business improvement processes by providing real-time tracking, controlling and reporting of truck loading and discharge. |

Load Classification
Geology data is imported by OreTracker and replicated over-the-air to the mining equipment.
Load records are fully-qualified, by source (e.g. pit) and destination (e.g. stockpile), bench, block, ore grade and material type.
Every load is cross-referenced to the matching configured locations, on the basis of carried grade and material type. This way, the system can not only assist the new driver in reaching the correct end destination, but also provide guidance along the way and help prevent systematic errors. | |
|
Real-time tracking
The loads are tracked in real-time according to the current location.
The OreTracker mobiles communicate to the office via licensed radio channels, over-the-air or via leaky-feeder, if underground.
In-pit communications are supported via mesh.
OreTracker offers comprehensive real-time monitoring and off-line replay of truck trips, including:

In-cab reporting
When inter-working with truck payload monitoring, load allocation is automatic. The truck driver is automatically notified of the load it is carrying.
Markers, placed by OreTracker along haul route, provide driver assistance.
The driver will be notified if the dump place reached mismatches its load, and directs him/her to a correct destination. |
